MTA is celebrating Car Free Day on Tuesday, September 22. Riders on Local Bus, Light Rail, Metro Subway, MARC, Commuter Bus, and Mobility can ride for free! If you're a regular rider – enjoy the free ride. If you know someone who would like to try transit, they can plan their trip on the MTA website mta.maryland.gov or use the Transit app. Follow us on social media @mtamaryland and on our website for the most up-to-date travel information. Real-time tracking of bus and train arrival information is available on the Transit app.

Commuter Bus Service Advisory for September 9, 2026

Commuter Bus-Due to construction at the Lothian Lower Pindell Park & Ride, the lot will be temporarily closed starting Friday, September 11 and extend through Friday, September 18, 2026. Passengers will need to park and board the bus at either Bristol or Wayson's Corner Park & Rides. Riders should check the service alerts https://www.mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts for the most up-to-date information.
