Routes 103 & 522: Reroute Due to Eastridge to BART Regional Connector Construction - 8/23/25 (10PM-5AM) Until Further Notice
🚧 LINE 103 WESTBOUND AM: From Bay #1 at Eastridge Transit Center, buses will turn left to exit driveway, right on Eastridge Loop, right on Eastridge Wy (2nd roadway to Tully), left on Tully, right on King, right on Ocala, left on Capitol Expwy to regular route. LINE 103 EASTBOUND PM: No reroute needed. Regular route. LINE 522 EASTBOUND: From Capitol Ave, buses will turn right on 1st entrance into Alum Rock Transit Center (Hacienda Ct), left on bus lane (Service Bay #4), left to exit driveway, left on Capitol Ave, right on Alum Rock, right on White, right on Tully, left on Capitol Expwy, right on Eastridge Loop, right on Transit Center entrance driveway, left on 3rd bus lane to deboarding stop (Bay #4 or #5). Then buses will continue around Transit Center to Rt 22/522 layover area, or if full, move up to Rt 22/522 layover at Bay #2 or #3. LINE 522 WESTBOUND: 2 minutes before scheduled departure time, buses will continue around Transit Center, turn left on 2nd bus lane to Rt 522 boarding stop (Bay #6). Then buses will turn left to exit driveway, left on Eastridge Loop, left to be continuing on Eastridge Loop, left on Capitol Expwy, right on Tully left on White, left on Alum Rock, left on Capitol Ave. right on 1st entrance into Alum Rock Transit Center (La Hacienda Ct), left on bus lane, left to exit driveway, left on Capitol Ave. regular route. Ring in the New Year with Free Rides and Late-Night Service
VTA will offer free rides on all buses and light rail starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, through 5 a.m. on Thursday, January 1. EXTENDED SERVICE ON RAPID 500 Rapid 500 will operate extended hours between San Jose Diridon, Downtown San Jose and Berryessa BART. The last northbound bus will depart San Jose Diridon at 12:27 a.m. and the last southbound bus will depart Berryessa BART at 3:10 a.m. EXTENDED SERVICE ON LIGHT RAIL Blue Line will be extended to offer later service between Santa Teresa and Baypointe. The last northbound train will depart Santa Teresa at 1:28 a.m., terminating at Civic Center. The last southbound train will depart Baypointe at 1:20 a.m. Green Line will offer its regular service between Winchester and Old Ironsides. It will also be extended to offer later service terminating at Baypointe instead of Old Ironsides. The last northbound train will depart Winchester at 1:45 a.m., terminating at Civic Center. The last southbound train from Old Ironsides will depart at 11:43 p.m., while the last southbound train from Baypointe will depart at 1:23 a.m. Orange Line will be extended to offer later service between Baypointe and Alum Rock. The last eastbound train will depart Baypointe at 12:29 a.m. The last westbound train will depart Alum Rock at 12:58 a.m. SUMMARY OF ROUTES 200, 201, 202 & 203 on New Year’s Eve Route 200 will operate as normal. Route 201 & 202 will be canceled. Route 203, 1st trip (12.14 a.m.) will be canceled, 2nd trip (12.59 a.m.) will operate normally. An additional trip (1.27 a.m.) will be added. VTA will run a regular weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve and a Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day.
