No Blue Line Trains Between Grand to LaSalle
Blue Line service has been temporarily suspended between Grand to LaSalle due to a police investigation at Clark/lake.
As a result, trains are operating in two sections:
- between O'Hare and Grand, and,
- between LaSalle and Forest Park, only.
Shuttle buses are available between Grand and LaSalle to provide connecting service in both directions.
Consider other service alternatives that may serve your trip, such as nearby bus routes or using buses to other rail lines.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Addison and Montrose
How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Irving Park station.
Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Addison and Montrose, resulting in minor delays.
Allow extra travel time.
Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the LaSalle, Clinton, and UIC-Halsted stations.
Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Jackson and Racine, resulting in minor delays.
Why is service being changed?
We are performing construction at the Racine Blue Line station and Morgan substation.
Racine Station Main Entrance Reopens; Loomis Entrance Temporarily Closes
How does this affect my trip?
The Racine Blue Line station’s main entrance will reopen on Fri, Oct 10.
The station’s Loomis entrance/exit will temporarily close Mon, Oct 13 until further notice.
To access the Racine station during this time, please use the main entrance/exit, located two blocks east of the Loomis entrance/exit.
Why is service being changed?
The work at the Racine station is part of the Blue Line Forest Park Branch Rebuild project.
Harlem (O’Hare branch) Station’s West Entrance Temporary Closure
How does this affect my trip?
The west entrance to the Harlem (O’Hare branch) Blue Line station on Higgins Avenue and the adjacent Park and Ride lot will temporarily close.
To enter/exit the station and make connections with #88 Higgins and #90 Harlem buses, customers may use the east entrance on Harlem Avenue. See separately posted alerts and station signage for details.
