Loop ‘L’ Service Temporary Suspension
How does this affect my trip?
Train service to Loop Elevated stations (Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Washington/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, H.W. Library, LaSalle/Van Buren, Quincy and Washington/Wells) will be temporarily suspended.
After Polk station, Pink Line trains will be rerouted to the Racine Blue Line station. Transfer to Blue Line subway trains for continuing service downtown. For Pink Line service to Ashland, Morgan and Clinton, consider nearby bus routes (see separate alert for details).
- Green Line trains will run between Harlem and Clinton and between Roosevelt and 63rd Street destinations, only.
- Orange Line trains will run between Midway and Roosevelt, only.
- Brown Line trains will run between Kimball and Merchandise Mart, only (consider Red Line as an alternative).
- Downtown Red and Blue line services will be unaffected.
Green and Orange Line shuttle buses (shown as S1 on map) will operate between Roosevelt and Clinton. Buses will make stops along State, Washington and Madison, and connect with continuing Green Line service to Harlem/Lake at Clinton.
Additionally, Brown Line shuttle buses (shown as S2 on map) will operate between Merchandise Mart and H.W. Library. Buses will make stops near Loop stations.
Why is service being changed?
Loop Elevated train service will be temporarily suspended as we perform track maintenance at the Tower 18 rail junction.

Austin Main Stationhouse Temporarily Closed, Use Mason Auxiliary Entrance
How does this affect my trip?
The Austin Green Line station’s main stationhouse will be temporarily closed. Please use the temporary Mason Street entrance/exit located one block east of Austin.
Why is service being changed?
The CTA is committed to making our system 100% accessible. We are installing an elevator at the Austin Green Line station as part of CTA’s All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP) to improve system accessibility across the city and neighboring communities we serve.
