17 - BIRCHMOUNT
The 17 Birchmount bus route operates between Warden Station on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, the area of Birchmount Road and Steeles Avenue East, and the area of Birchmount Road and Highway 7 in the Town of Markham, generally in a north-south direction. Accessible service is provided on the route. Bike racks are available on this route.
Three services are operated. The 17A (Warden Station-Highway 7) branch operates during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday only. The 17B (Warden Station-Steeles via Wintermute) branch operates during the peak periods from Monday to Friday only. The 17C (Warden Station-Steeles) branch operates at all times except the peak periods, seven days a week.
Northbound 17A: from Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (on-street), north on Warden Ave, east on St Clair Ave E, north on Birchmount Rd, west on Rougeside Promenade to Rougeside Promenade at Uptown Dr.
Southbound 17A: from Rougeside Promenade at Uptown Dr, west on Rougeside Promenade, north on Uptown Dr, east on Highway 7, south on Birchmount Rd, west on St. Clair Ave E, south on Warden Ave, east and counter-clockwise through Warden Station temporary bus terminal to Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (on-street).
Northbound 17B: from Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (on-street), north on Warden Ave, east on St Clair Ave E, north on Birchmount Rd, west and north on Wintermute Blvd, north on Mountcastle Gate, east on Steeles Ave E, and south on Birchmount Rd to Birchmount Rd at Steeles Ave South Side.
Southbound 17B: from Birchmount Rd at Steeles Ave South Side, south on Birchmount Rd, west on St. Clair Ave E, south on Warden Ave, east and counter-clockwise through Warden Station temporary bus terminal to Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (onstreet).
Northbound 17C: from Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (on-street), north on Warden Ave, east on St Clair Ave E, north on Birchmount Rd, west on Steeles Ave E, north on Warden Ave to Warden Loop at Steeles Ave E.
Southbound 17C: from Warden Loop at Steeles Ave E, south on Warden Ave, east on Steeles Ave E, south on Birchmount Rd, west on St. Clair Ave E, south on Warden Ave, east and counter-clockwise through Warden Station temporary bus terminal to Warden Station Bus Bay #2 (on-street).
All buses on the route serve local bus stops along the route.
The request stop program is available to all customers travelling along by bus between 9:00 PM and 5:00AM. Request Stop allows any customer who is feeling vulnerable to get off the bus between regular TTC stops.
