Metro Subway Service Advisory - Early Closing Time
Effective Monday, March 24, 2025 the MTA will temporarily adjust Metro Subway train service to close one hour early to allow additional time to complete testing of the new Metro Subway railcars and train control systems. The early closing is expected to continue through October 1, 2025. On Weekdays: The last train from Owings Mills to Johns Hopkins Hospital leaves at 10:57 pm and arrives at 11:26 p.m. The last train from Johns Hopkins Hospital to Owings Mills leaves at 11:18 pm and arrives at 11:47 p.m. On Weekends/Holidays: The last train from Owings Mills to Johns Hopkins Hospital leaves at 11:05 pm and arrives at 11:34 p.m. The last train from Johns Hopkins Hospital to Owings Mills leaves at 11:15 pm and arrives at 11:44 p.m. Thank you for riding Metro Subway, and for your patience as we work to improve your rider experience.
Metro Subway Service Advisory - Adjusted Train Cars
Starting today, some Metro Subway trains may operate with fewer cars, including operating as a single car train, to improve service and on-time performance. Riders are encouraged to wait closer to where the first car of the train typically stops, near the far front end of the platform, to ensure a smooth boarding experience. Operating some trains with fewer cars enables us to maintain our schedule with the same frequency you are used to while accommodating an equivalent number of riders.
