Reminder-Metro Service Alert: Service Adjustments for New Train Testing

Metro Subway is temporarily adjusting service this weekend (Friday, Dec. 12 through Monday, Dec. 15) to accommodate testing of MTA's new rail car fleet. Please read this schedule carefully. FULL CLOSURE & FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE (FRIDAY & SUNDAY) During the following times, all Metro Subway stations will be closed. Free shuttle bus service will be in place between all stations. Riders should allow for extra travel time. -Closure 1: Friday, Dec. 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. until Saturday, Dec.13 at 6 a.m. -Closure 2: Sunday, Dec. 14, starting at 6 a.m. until Monday, Dec. 15, at 5 a.m. REGULAR SERVICE WITH TRAIN TESTING (SATURDAY ONLY) On Saturday, Dec. 13, from 6 a.m. until Sunday, Dec. 14, at 6 a.m., Metro Subway will operate its regular scheduled passenger service. During this period, new rail cars will be undergoing testing. Test trains feature bright yellow front and back ends. Test trains will enter and stop at platforms, but WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR BOARDING. Please wait for your regular train.

Reminder: Army/Navy Game Day Service Alert

MTA offers several options for traveling to the Army-Navy Game at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. Fare payment is required on all modes. Skip the lines and use the CharmPass mobile app for fast, secure payment. Station ticket vending machines will also accept credit cards and cash. For service updates, follow MTA on social media at @mtamaryland or visit our website. Due to the high volume of fans, expect heavy traffic near M&T Bank Stadium throughout the day. Please plan your trip using the Transit App. Light Rail: Light Rail will operate on a regular Saturday schedule. Starting at noon, MTA will supplement Light Rail service with express shuttle buses, offering direct service from Glen Burnie/Cromwell and Timonium Fairgrounds stations to the Convention Center Light Rail stop. Following the game, shuttle buses will return fans from the Convention Center Light Rail stop directly to Glen Burnie/Cromwell or Timonium Fairgrounds stops. Fans who do not use the shuttle buses can also board regular Light Rail service at the Stadium/Federal Hill and Camden stations. Metro Subway: Ride the Metro Subway to Charles Center Station. Use the West entrance/Charles Street escalator to street level. Proceed on Baltimore Street and turn left at the CFG Arena towards M&T Bank Stadium. Local Bus: M&T Bank Stadium is served by several local bus routes, including CityLink routes Navy, Yellow, Brown, and LocalLink routes 51, 54, 73, 76, and 94. MARC Train: MARC Penn Line will operate on a regular weekend schedule. Passengers arriving at Penn Station can take shuttle buses to the North Avenue light rail stop, board the Light Rail, and then exit the train at the Stadium/Fed Hill stop. Curbside shuttle buses leave every 30 minutes from Penn Station to the North Avenue light rail stop.
