Sunday, March 1, 2026, is the last day CharmCard can be used for travel on Local Bus, Light Rail, and Metro Subway. MTA is modernizing its fare collection system, replacing equipment that is more than 20 years old. CharmCards are not accepted on the new system. For balance transfers to other fare products or for assistance after March 1, please visit the MTA Transit Store in person located at 6 St Paul St, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
