Beginning Sunday, September 6, Routes 220 & 222 will have increased frequency and simplified service on both routes.

What Are We Doing: Buses will arrive every 30 minutes or better on both routes, 5 AM - 1 AM Monday - Saturday and 6 AM – 1 AM Sunday. Between Quincy Center and Bridge St @ Newton St, a 220 or 222 bus will arrive every 15 minutes or better. Route 220 Discontinued Service: The Hingham Center loop route pattern, which runs twice a day on weekdays, will be discontinued. Use Route 220 at Hingham Depot for service toward Quincy Center, 1.3 miles or less from the eliminated stops. Discontinued Route 220 Stops: North St @ South St Main St @ Elm St Main St @ Water St Main St opp Clark Rd Main St @ Playground Main St @ Firehouse Central St @ Main St Central St @ Central Jr HS Central St @ Garrison Rd Central St @ Weston Rd Central St @ Elm St Central St @ South St Route 222 Discontinued Service: the East Weymouth route pattern, which alternates with service to Lovell Corners today, will be eliminated. All trips will run to Lovell Corners, currently called Pleasant St & Washington St. Use Route 222 at Broad St @ Commercial St or Pleasant St opp Shawmut St for inbound service towards Quincy Center, 0.6 miles or less away from closed stops. Discontinued Route 222 Inbound Stops: Water St @ Commercial St High St @ Cedar St High St opp Nichols Rd High St @ Nichols Rd High St @ Duck Lane High St @ Commercial St Water St opp Myrtle St Discontinued Route 222 Outbound Stops: Water St @ Myrtle St Water St @ Commercial St
