Current Service Alerts
Starting Monday, June 2nd, the Fairmount Line will have a temporary schedule to allow for rail replacement work. The schedule reduces mid-day service on weekdays and service on weekends. Schedule is now available on MBTA.com/CR.
Service on the Fairmount Line will be reduced between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends to allow this important work to take place. The rail replacement work will prepare the line for the introduction of battery-electric trains in the coming years. Passengers can consider nearby MBTA buses for alternative service. The following trains are temporarily suspended to accommodate rail replacement work: Weekday Trains suspended: 1619, 1621, 1626, 1627, 1630, 1632, 1633, 1637, 1638, 1641, 1644, 1647, 1648, 1649, 1650, 1653, 1655, 1656, 1659, 1660, 1662, 1666, 1668 Weekend Trains suspended: 6614, 6619, 6624, 6630, 6632, 6633, 6643, 6644, 6647, 6649, 6650, 6655, 6656, 6659, 6662, 6666, 6667, 6668, 6671, 6677, 6678 On Friday, July 4th (Independence Day) and Monday, September 1st (Labor Day), all lines will operate on a weekend schedule. On Thursday, June 19th (Juneteenth), and Monday, October 13th (Columbus Day), all lines will operate on a regular weekday
South Station Pedal & Park is closed due to construction. Bicycle racks are currently available on Atlantic Ave adjacent to the South Station main entrance.
