🧑🔧 To exit, exit the train at Haymarket and take an Orange Line Oak Grove-bound train or a Green Line Union Square or North Station-bound train to North Station and use North Station Elevator 911. To board, use North Station Elevator to access the Oak Grove platform. Take an Oak Grove-bound train to Community College, then transfer to a Forest Hills-bound train. For customers seeking to board a Green Line Copley & West train, exit at the North Station Forest Hills platform and proceed to the Copley & West platform.

The platform at Jackson Square is undergoing renovations to improve safety and accessibility. Sections of the platform are unlevel, which may make it difficult for some riders to board and exit trains.

The stairway connecting the Jackson Square lobby and the south end of the platform is closed until winter 2026. Use the stairway at the north end of the platform. This closure is for the construction of a new stairway and a second elevator.

Orange Line: Shuttle buses will replace service between Back Bay and Forest Hills from September 10 - 14 to allow for work on the Ruggles Station Improvement Project.
Accessibility: All shuttle buses are accessible to riders with disabilities. However, some buses used during weekday periods will be lift-equipped, coach-style buses. All shuttle buses operating on weekends will be ramp-equipped, low-floor buses. Fare-Free Commuter Rail Alternative: Riders are encouraged to consider the Commuter Rail for service between Forest Hills, Ruggles, Back Bay, and South Station. The trip between Forest Hills and Back Bay on the Commuter Rail is approximately 10 minutes. Travel Time: Riders using shuttle bus service should budget extra travel time. For example, a rider traveling to Downtown Crossing from Forest Hills should allow for at least 30 minutes of travel in addition to their regular commute.
