Chinatown Elevator 922 (Forest Hills Platform to Boylston St, Washington St) will be unavailable from Tue, Nov 18, through Sun, Jan 11, 2026, while it undergoes major equipment upgrades.
🧑🔧 The elevator will be closed for work that will significantly improve its long-term reliability. To Exit: Get off the train at Tufts Medical Center, take an Oak Grove train to Chinatown and use Elevator 876. To Board: Go to the Silver Line SL5 bus stop at Washington St and Essex St. Take an SL5 (Downtown) bus to Tufts Medical Center (stay on bus past the Temple Pl stop). Alternate route: travel 0.2 miles south on Washington St to Tufts Medical Center.
Jackson Square: The platform is undergoing renovations to improve safety and accessibility. Sections of the platform are unlevel, which may make it difficult for some riders to board and exit trains. This work will take place through fall 2025.

Jackson Square: The stairway connecting the Jackson Sq lobby and the south end of the platform is closed until winter 2026. Use the stairway at the north end of the platform. This closure is for the construction of a new stairway and a second elevator.

🧑🔧 To exit, proceed to the end of the Forest Hills platform and continue down the hallway (follow signs for Oak Grove and Blue Line) to the Wonderland platform. At the Wonderland platform, proceed to the 53 State St lobby and use State Elevator 975. To board a Forest Hills-bound train, cross Milk St and proceed south on Washington St for one-tenth of a mile to the intersection of Washington St and Winter St, and use Downtown Crossing Elevator 892. To board an Oak Grove-bound train, cross Milk St and proceed south on Washington St for one block to the intersection of Washington St and Franklin St, and use Downtown Crossing Elevator 891 to access the Oak Grove platform.
