The platform at Jackson Square is undergoing renovations to improve safety and accessibility. Sections of the platform are unlevel, which may make it difficult for some riders to board and exit trains.

The stairway connecting the Jackson Square lobby and the south end of the platform is closed until winter 2026. Use the stairway at the north end of the platform. This closure is for the construction of a new stairway and a second elevator.

On Tuesday, September 22, through Tuesday, December 1, State Elevator 803 (Forest Hills platform to Washington Street, Milk Street) will be unavailable due to maintenance.
🧑🔧 The elevator will be closed for major equipment upgrades that will significantly improve the long-term reliability of this elevator. To board a Train to Forest Hills: Cross Milk St and go south on Washington St for one-tenth of a mile (two blocks) to the intersection of Washington St and Winter St. Take Downtown Crossing Elevator 892 to the Forest Hills platform. To board a Train to Oak Grove: Cross Milk St and go south on Washington St for 500 ft (one block) to the intersection of Washington St and Franklin St. Take Downtown Crossing Elevator 891 to the Oak Grove platform. To exit the station: Go to the end of the Forest Hills platform and continue down the hallway (follow signs for Oak Grove and Blue Line) to the Wonderland platform. At the Wonderland platform, go to the 53 State St lobby and use State Elevator 975 to exit.
