Commute Hours Are Now More Flexible
We believe very strongly at Mobility Bot at keeping the noise to a minimum. This stems from our background in incident response, because “alert fatigue” is real.
As of today, you can now customize not only the days of the week you would like to receive alerts, but also the time windows! Here are some screenshots of the Slack interface that allow the customization:
Have a two or three day a week return to office policy? No problem- you don’t need to receive messages on the days you aren’t normally in the office.
By default, we set reasonable commute hours for your timezone, and attempt to send you messages before you’re leaving for the train station or bus stop. However, if one or both of your daily commutes is earlier or later than normal, we allow you to fully override the defaults.
Our friends over at Transit App allow some customization of service alerts, but commute hours are defined as 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM, and there is no ability to customize the hours. We highly recommend using Mobility Bot to message you when something is up with your line, and using an app like Transit or Citymapper to make adjustments if the service alert calls for it.
