The Lakeshore Corridor route, frequently referred to as the South Shore Line, runs between Millennium Station in downtown Chicago and the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, Indiana. Intermediate stops are made in Hammond, Gary, and Michigan City.

6/29-7/3 KIDS RIDE FREE: Kids Ride Free on all trains June 29 – July 3, 2026. In an effort to help families enjoy summer, the program will be available on all weekday trains during this promotion June 29-July 3 (please note Friday, July 3, 2026, is a regular weekday train schedule). No ticket purchase is needed for kids riding free.

6/27 SOLDIER FIELD SERVICE: To accommodate passengers attending Ed Sheeran taking place at 5:30p, Sat., 6/27/26, at Soldier Field, the South Shore Line plans to stop the following trains at Metra’s 18th Street Station: WB Tr 508, Tr 610; and EB Tr 515, Tr 517, Tr 601* *NOTE: EB Tr 601 terminates in Michigan City and does not serve Hudson Lake/South Bend.

6/28/26 CHICAGO PRIDE PARADE: The SSL will offer extra passenger trains on Sunday, 6/28/26, to accommodate passengers attending the Pride Parade. In the morning, two westbound passenger Extras will operate ahead of WB Tr 502 & Tr 504. In the afternoon, two eastbound passenger Extras will operate ahead of EB Tr 609 & Tr 509.
