3/10-3/11/26 INCLEMENT WEATHER: The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northern Indiana and Chicago effective through Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026. The severe weather risk includes scattered strong to severe thunderstorms and all possible hazards, including tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds, and flash flooding. The South Shore Line is closely monitoring conditions, including operational impacts as a result of the severe weather, and is prepared to make train service adjustments as necessary. Any changes in service will be promptly posted to our website Service Updates, the South Shore mobile app, and via email/text notifications.

3/14/26 CHICAGO FIRE SOLDIER FIELD: To accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Fire FC match taking place at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, 3/14/26, at Soldier Field, the South Shore Line plans to stop the following trains at Metra’s 18th Street Station: Westbound Tr 610, Tr 510; Eastbound Tr 513, Tr 515.

3/14/26 ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE: The SSL will offer extra passenger trains on Saturday, 3/14/26. Two westbound Extra trains will depart Carroll Ave. at 7:19 a.m. and 7:29 a.m. One westbound Extra train will depart 11th Street Station at 8:31 a.m. These Extra trains will NOT SERVE South Bend, Hudson Lake, Beverly Shores, Gary Metro Center, or Gary/Chicago Airport. In the afternoon, an EB Extra will depart Millennium Station at 3:25 p.m.; an EB Extra will depart Millennium Station at 5:02 p.m.; and an EB Extra will depart Millennium Station at 6:44 p.m. These Extra trains will NOT SERVE Museum Campus, 57th St., Hudson Lake or South Bend.
