The Lakeshore Corridor route, frequently referred to as the South Shore Line, runs between Millennium Station in downtown Chicago and the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, Indiana. Intermediate stops are made in Hammond, Gary, and Michigan City.

9/28/26 BEARS SOLDIER FIELD SERVICE: In order to accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Bears vs. Eagles home game at 7:15pm on 9/28, the SSL plans to stop the following trains at Metra’s 18th Street Station: Westbound: Tr 128, 18th St. arrival at 4:54p; Tr 30, 18th St. arrival at 5:47p; Tr 130, 18th St. arrival at 6:56p. Eastbound: Tr 35 departs 18th St. at 11:21p.

CHICAGO CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS: SSL passengers are advised that ongoing construction in downtown Chicago will begin a new phase that will affect weekday train operations beginning Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, in the area of Millennium and Van Buren Street stations. The construction will result in limited train capacity, with reduced seating on select trains; as well as potential train delays due to Metra substation work.
