General Message
WINTER STORM WARNING 1/14-1/15: Passengers are advised the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for LaPorte and St. Joseph counties, and a Winter Weather Advisory for Porter County. The warning takes effect at 6am CST, Wednesday, Jan. 14, through noon CST, Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. SSL anticipates train operations to run as scheduled, however any changes in service will be promptly posted to our website Service Updates, the South Shore mobile app, and via email/text notifications.

1/18/26 SOLDIER FIELD SERVICE: In order to accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Bears vs. Rams game at 5:30pm on Sunday, Jan. 18, the SSL plans to stop the following trains at Metra’s 18th Street Station: Westbound Tr 608, 18th St. arrival at 11:47a; Tr 508, 18th St. arrival at 2:21p; Tr 610, 18th St. arrival at 5:18p. Eastbound Tr 513 departs 18th St. at 9:25p; Tr 515 departs 18th St. at 10:25p.
