11/7-11/11 VETERANS RIDE FREE: The SSL invites all veterans and active-duty military personnel to ride free of charge on all weekday and weekend trains Friday, Nov. 7, through Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. At the time of fare collection, passengers are to inform train personnel of veteran or active military status in order to take advantage of the free passage; no identification will be required.

11/3-11/6/25 OVERNIGHT BUSING MILLER-DUNE PARK: SSL will provide temporary busing substitution for late evening/overnight train passengers Monday, 11/3, through overnight Thursday, 11/6/25. The temporary bus bridge will be in place for eastbound passengers between Miller, Portage/Ogden Dunes, and Dune Park, and includes EB Tr 33, Tr 133, Tr 35 & Tr 101. NO BIKES WILL BE PERMITTED ON BUSES.

11/2/25 NO SERVICE TO MUSEUM CAMPUS/VAN BUREN ST: Sunday, Nov. 2, SSL passengers traveling to and from downtown Chicago will be transported via bus between Millennium Station and Metra’s 18th Street Station. There will be no service to Museum Campus or Van Buren St. stations. IMPORTANT NOTE: 18TH STREET STATION CONTAINS A LARGE FLIGHT OF STAIRS. PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES, INCLUDING MOBILITY ISSUES AND DIFFICULTY USING STAIRS, WILL UTILIZE MCCORMICK PLACE THROUGHOUT THE BUSING. On 11/2, passengers with disabilities will be shuttled between Millennium and McCormick Place. Bikes will be prohibited on buses, but will be permitted to utilize McCormick Place. Train passengers traveling to and from 57th Street Station will not be impacted.
