The Lakeshore Corridor route, frequently referred to as the South Shore Line, runs between Millennium Station in downtown Chicago and the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, Indiana. Intermediate stops are made in Hammond, Gary, and Michigan City.

6/28/26 CHICAGO PRIDE PARADE: The SSL will offer extra passenger trains on Sunday, 6/28/26, to accommodate passengers attending the Pride Parade. In the morning, two westbound passenger Extras will operate ahead of WB Tr 502 & Tr 504. In the afternoon, two eastbound passenger Extras will operate ahead of EB Tr 609 & Tr 509. In an effort to help families enjoy summer, the program will be available on all weekday trains during this promotion June 29-July 3 (please note Friday, July 3, 2026, is a regular weekday train schedule). No ticket purchase is needed for kids riding free.

6/27 SOLDIER FIELD SERVICE: To accommodate passengers attending Ed Sheeran taking place at 5:30p, Sat., 6/27/26, at Soldier Field, the South Shore Line plans to stop the following trains at Metra’s 18th Street Station: WB Tr 508, Tr 610; and EB Tr 515, Tr 517, Tr 601* *NOTE: EB Tr 601 terminates in Michigan City and does not serve Hudson Lake/South Bend.

Weekday Eastbound Train #11
Train affected: Weekday Eastbound Train #11 UPDATE: Passengers on the EB Train 11 bus have departed Michigan City, delayed 60+ minutes. WB Train 30 bus is expected to depart the South Bend Airport approximately 5-10 minutes delayed, and WB Train 30 will depart 11th Street Michigan City upon arrival of the bus. Crews continue to work to make repairs to temporary track conditions in South Bend. Updates to follow. Due to temporary track conditions in South Bend impacting train movement, SSL passengers on EB Train 11 and WB Train 30 will be bused between Michigan City and the South Bend Airport today, June 24. There will be no service to Hudson Lake during busing. Passengers are advised EB Train 11 buses are expected to be delayed departing Michigan City due to predicted bus arrival times.
