NICTD (South Shore Line) Now Supported
Joining Metra in the Chicago area, Mobility Bot now supports subscribing to service alerts for the South Shore Line, operated by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD).
For those that don’t live in the Chicago area, or even those that do and aren’t familiar with it, the South Shore Line is a commuter rail line operated by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) between the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, Indiana and Millennium Station in downtown Chicago, with intermediate stops in Michigan City, Indiana and Gary, Indiana. It shares tracks with the Metra Electric District on the final journey into downtown Chicago.
The South Shore Line is great about publishing delays, but this may get a bit noisy during the day. The ability to set custom commute hours in Mobility Bot should help ensure you only get messages that affect your journey.
