How does this affect my trip?
Beginning Sunday, Dec 21, updated schedules will go into effect for the following bus routes. The schedules for these routes are receiving updates as part of CTA’s commitment to better meet evolving ridership needs and patterns. Most routes continue to have the same frequency and span of service, but arrival times may change up to a few minutes.

Routes with more extensive changes to hours of service are marked with an asterisk (*). Bolded routes are part of CTA’s Frequent Network.

*In addition, the following service changes will be implemented (see separate alerts for details):

  •  #75 74th-75th, December 21: Service will extend to the 79th/Western bus terminal via Damen Ave and 79th St.
  • #81W West Lawrence, December 21: On weekends/holidays, service will no longer operate on Cumberland between Lawrence and the Cumberland Blue Line station.
  • #93 California/Dodge, December 21: Service will extend to the Logan Square Blue Line station via Kedzie, Montrose, California and Diversey.
  • #124 Navy Pier, December 22: Weekday service will operate 20 minutes earlier towards Union Station.
  • #120 Ogilvie/Streeterville Express, #121 Union/Streeterville Express, December 22: Early morning and rush period bus service will continue south on McClurg to Grand, then operate west on Grand to Fairbanks, where it will continue its normal routing. 

Four Bus Routes Added to CTA’s Frequent Network – Effective Sun, Dec 21:
#9 Ashland, #12 Roosevelt, #72 North, and #81 Lawrence
Four routes will join CTA’s Frequent Network. This expands the network to 20 frequent routes that operate every 10 minutes or better along the entire route,6am to 9pm on weekdays and weekends, 9am to 9pm.
