Czterowagonowe pociagi wracaja w letnie weekendy

3:30 rano do
poniedziaku o godz. 3:30 rano.

Four-car trains return on summer weekends

On the Blue, Brown, Orange and Purple lines, we’re resuming our regular, pre-pandemic practice of reducing the length of trains on weekends where ridership is at its lowest.

  • Every weekend starting early on June 6, trains will be reduced to 4-car lengths on these lines from Saturday morning at 3:30am through Monday morning at 3:30am.

  • Each weekend this summer, except when there are major events or construction occurring, trains will be reduced to 4 cars. Longer trains will continue to run when high ridership is expected.

  • Additionally, on the 24-hour Blue Line, riders will be asked to leave the train at O’Hare and Forest Park to exit and re-enter the station so crews can safely remove cars from service and to help staff clean cars at the terminals.

These changes allow us to provide more efficient service by reducing wear and tear on train cars, greater safety and security and cleaner railcars.

In general, look for signs overhead on platforms for your route that say “Board here” to ensure you’re waiting on a part of the platform where trains always stop.
