How does this affect my trip?
Beginning Sunday, March 23, updated schedules will go into effect for the following bus routes. The schedules for these routes are receiving updates as part of CTA’s commitment to better meet evolving ridership needs and patterns.

Most routes continue to have the same frequency and span of service, but arrival times may change up to a few minutes. Routes with more extensive changes to hours of service are marked with an asterisk (*). Bolded routes are part of CTA’s new Frequent Network.

*In addition, the following service changes will be implemented (see separate alerts for details):

• Service to the lakefront and beaches will be expanded weekends/holidays - Sun, March 23 through mid-August: #35 31st/35th (31st Street Beach), #63rd 63rd (63rd Street Beach), #72 North (North Avenue Beach), and #78 Montrose (Montrose Beach) buses will begin and end their trips at the indicated beaches between approximately 9am and 9:30pm.    

Eight routes are part of the initial phase of the Frequent Network to provide service improvements on weekends, evenings and midday to better serve riders. The routes include the #J14 Jeffery Jump, #34 South Michigan, #47 47th, #54 Cicero, #60 Blue Island/26th, #63 63rd, #79 79th and #95 95th. Buses on these routes will operate every 10 minute or better service along the entire route weekdays, 6am to 9pm and weekends, 9am to 9pm. Additional bus routes will be added to the Frequent Network throughout 2025.
